"Y u do on Blogger?!" Challenge Day Two + Zamboanga Bloggers!

"The meaning behind your Tumblr Blogger name."

     It's time for day two! Today, I guess I have to tell you guys the sorta embarrassing story behind my Blogger name. Meh.

     Well, the Anj obviously comes from my nickname, Anj. The Fire comes from, well, my favorite element in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
     In my junior year in high school, I got addicted to the series "Avatar: The Last Airbender." I loved the fire nation! Being the Avatar geek that I was (and still am), I changed my Friendster name to "anj 火." In English, it's spelled huo. It means fire. I wanted to stick with that name but you can't always attach a Chinese character to your name. I also didn't want to attach the word "Huo" to my name 'cause it'd be like Anj Hoe and I'm no hoe. So I went with "Anjfire." The Fire Nation is the most bad ass nation in the Avatar world so suck that!!


   Ehem. Moving on...

     Just recently, Ate Jannie added me to a Facebook group called "Zamboanga Bloggers." I felt honored and intimidated. I stepped up my game and upgraded my blog to blogger's new designer thingy.

     The Zamboanga Bloggers group is a growing community of awesome bloggers from Zamboanga City! (Like that's not obvious already). I didn't realize there were so many of us bloggers in this tiny city. What I love about this group is that it's so diverse. There are professional blogs, fashion blogs, beauty blogs, food blogs, and even small personal blogs like mine.

     Through our little blogger family, I met new awesome people. I made new friends too and I got to learn more about their lives. Being in a community of bloggers is pretty inspiring. The food blog even inspired me to learn how to turn on our stove! I just feel more inspired and motivated to blog. I think it's because I know that I have a blogger family that supports me now and I support them. It's amazing, really. Check out their links in my side bar! I've been pretty busy lately. Hell, I'm pretty busy right now. So I apologize for the plain blog post right now. It took me 3 days just to be able to finally finish and post this. Meh college -.-
